‘We dodged a bullet;’ Zero new cases for second day out of lockdown

THE Territory has recorded zero new cases of Covid-19 for the second day out of lockdown.
chief health officer Dr Hugh Heggie also said results from recent wastewater testing were “really good” with no traces of the virus in Alice Springs or in the Darwin general community.
Dr Heggie said there had only been traces of Covid-19 found in the vicinity of the Howard Springs quarantine facility and the Royal Darwin Hospital.
“At the moment it’s looking good, really good,” he said.
“We’ve dodged a bullet that’s for sure.
“If someone who had been at the (Buff) club had had a high viral load we would have had a much bigger problem.
“At the moment we seem to have controlled this outbreak, but this isn’t over yet.”
