UPDATE: POWER in Moil will remain off for about half an hour as Power Water crews look to replace a porcelain insulator which was struck by lightning in Monday afternoon’s Storm.
A Power water spokeswoman said Power will return to Marrara relatively quickly, after it was lost in the two northern suburbs about 4.10pm on Monday.

“It is a lightning strike on an insulator, the same as (Friday), they’ve managed to locate the area. Marrara will be back relatively quickly but Moil will be a bit longer as they have to replace the damaged insulator but we have crew out there and working.
“Often the time taken is locating the fault, in this instance they’ve located the fault and managed to isolate and pinpoint where it is and restore power around that site.
“The location of the insulator takes longer though as power has to stay off while they do the repairs.”
NT Police are managing traffic at affected areas.
A similar incident took place on Friday causing the power outage, similar to an incident on Friday which caused power outages in Fannie Bay, Parap, Woolner and The Narrows.
Power was also lost in Virginia as the storm passed through but was restored at 3.22pm.
An alert has also been sent from Power and Water to Northern Territory Police fire and Emergency Services to alert commuters.
EARLIER: A number of traffic lights are out across Darwin after a storm hit on Monday afternoon.
Street lights went out at the Rothdale Rd and McMillans Rd intersection among a number of others in the northern suburbs about 4.10pm, with parts of Moil and Marrara also losing power.
Locals also reported debris and fallen branches on roads, adding to commuter confusion.
