HEALTH Minister Natasha Fyles has urged anyone who has arrived into the Northern Territory from the Brisbane and the Moreton Bay regions between March 12 to 19, and is feeling unwell, to get tested for COVID-19.

Ms Fyles said the NT government was monitoring the unfolding coronavirus situation in Brisbane, where a 26-year-old man tested positive for the virus earlier this week, and had visited several locations across the city before being diagnosed.
Ms Fyles said the situation would be monitored with information from Queensland and the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) continuing to come through.
“Anyone who has arrived in the Northern Territory from Brisbane and Moreton Bay local government areas since the 20th of March must isolate and get a COVID-19 test within 72 hours,” she said.

“Additionally, if you arrived from the 12th through to the 19th. If you’re feeling unwell, slightly unwell, you must also reach out and get a test.
“We’re continuing to watch what is happening in southeast Queensland, and we won’t hesitate on the advice of our health authorities to go further.”
