‘Get the shotgun’: The ‘spider-snake’ photo keeping Territorians up at night

It’s the creepy crawly collaboration nobody asked for and the stuff of nightmares for Territorians. What do you think it is?

A PHOTO of a spider-snake hybrid doing the rounds on social media is fuelling nightmares for Territorians.

A picture, shared by Billy Lowery and geotagged in Darwin, shows the creepy crawly entering someone’s house.

The creature has been likened to the terrifying, facehugging creepy crawlie made famous by the Alien movie franchise.

A number of less-than-keen commenters took to the post to share their disgust, but none could name what the animal was.

“Get the shotgun out now,” one wrote.

Is the Territory’s ‘spider-snake’ where these guys got the idea from? The terrifying facehugger beastie from the movie classic, Alien.

“Good old NT weird creatures like this never gets boring lol,” another said.
