A PHOTO of a spider-snake hybrid doing the rounds on social media is fuelling nightmares for Territorians.

A picture, shared by Billy Lowery and geotagged in Darwin, shows the creepy crawly entering someone’s house.

The creature has been likened to the terrifying, facehugging creepy crawlie made famous by the Alien movie franchise.

A number of less-than-keen commenters took to the post to share their disgust, but none could name what the animal was.

“Get the shotgun out now,” one wrote.

“Good old NT weird creatures like this never gets boring lol,” another said.
