UPDATE: A crash causing major peak hour delays has been cleared, and traffic is flowing again.

NT Police closed the incident report at 8.51am, following the crash at 7.43pm.

EARLIER: ABOUT five cars have crashed along Tiger Brennan Dr near Charles Darwin National Park causing major delays to morning traffic.

The NT Incident Map shows five vehicle crashes between Amy Johnson Dr and the entrance to Charles Darwin National Park.

Cars are banked back to the Hidden Valley Race Track and Tiger Brennan Dr is down to one lane heading in to the city.

Police, ambulance and firies are on the scene.
