IT might be the sweatiest season of the year but it is also the sweetest with the Territory’s favourite fruit ripe and ready for another year of Mango Cup.
From now until November 7, voters will be able to visit up to 30 competing venues across the Top End and try their finest mango drink creations using local produce.
Hospitality NT chief executive Alex Bruce said mangoes are iconic to the Territory and it should be one everyone’s bucket list to go out and try at least one.
“The weather and the competition are both heating up right now in the Top End,” Mr Bruce said.
Dom’s Bar & Lounge owner Dom Wundke said the competition was a great way to showcase their skills while using local produce. “The cocktail we’re most excited about is called Made of Mango, it has lots of passion (fruit) and it’s ready to rock,” Mr Wundke said.
