SCHNAPPY the saltwater crocodile loves nothing more than watching the sunset while riding a wave at Casuarina Beach.
However, his wild nature proved to be an issue until his owner Anita Price fashioned him a lead.
He can now safely cruise the beach without nicking off into the wide open ocean.
She made the harness from a bearded dragon harness and uses a little lead.
Schnappy took some time getting used to the lead but has taken the leather and blue harness in his stride.

“People don’t really notice (that I’m walking a croc) … people just think I’m walking with an empty leash, until they get close enough, but I’ve been stopped for photos plenty of times,” she said.
Ms Price and Schnappy go for walks along Casuarina Beach most days with the baby croc let loose for a swim in the tidal puddles.
“I really want to take him into the beach and the waves but I can’t let him out there, as he’d run away, so I thought a lead would be the best way,” she said. “I thought he would just use it to swim and he would just kind of sit there but he started walking with it so we just go for walks now.”
At just three-and-half months old, Schnappy loves eating fish and occasionally is treated to a little slice of wagyu steak.
