The beloved Royal Darwin Show has kicked off to hordes of eager crowds looking to check out the rides, sideshow alley and collect a showbag.

THE Royal Darwin Show kicked off to hordes of eager crowds looking to check out the rides, sideshow alley and collect a showbag.
The Newman family were checking out the large selection of showbags with Douglas, 9 keen to get his hands on the ninja showbag while Ashley, 7, was after the slime showbag.
“I want to get the slime showbag because slime is funs to play with,” she said.
Douglas was also keen to try out his driving skills on the dodgem cars.
Showbags.com.au retail manager Greg Andersen said he expected to sell upwards of 5000 showbags.
“People are quite excited to have the show back, which is going to make a big difference to sales, we’re hoping people will make up for last year,” he said.

He said the concept of showbags was an Australian tradition that began in the 1930s and developed to what it is today.
Popular showbags are Bluey, Bingo, Friends and CoComelon.
The show will run until Saturday with gates opening each day at 9am and operating until 10pm.
