THE chaotic monsoonal storms beloved by Territorians could come earlier this year due to the impacts of a complex weather pattern.
Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist Mosese Raico said there was a possibility monsoonal weather could arrive in the middle of December instead of towards the end, due to the La Nina phenomenon.

Mr Raico however said in the meantime, parts of the NT would endure intense heat this week as temperatures climb.
“Overall we’ll be seeing temperatures around 40C primarily across the central districts,” he said.

“In Darwin those temperatures are looking a bit cooler as a result of potential showers and storms, so around 34C, 35C and potentially dropping into the low 30Cs.”
