POLICE have made 10 arrests and handed out 52 fines thus far in the festive driving season campaign, Operation Roland.
Overnight police conducted random breath and drug testing stations across the Darwin region.

In separate incidents two men aged 20 and 48 were arrested for drink driving and driving unlicensed, with police later finding the 48-year-old hasn’t held a drivers licence in a decade.
A 22-year-old man was given a notice to appear after he attempted to evade an RBT station.
He was also found to be driving unlicensed.
Acting Superintendent Paul Faustmann said the behaviour was disappointing after four people had already lost their lives in December.
“The vast majority of Territorians are getting the message,” he said.

“However, there are some that still would rather risk their lives than spend it with their families this Christmas”.
Since Operation Roland began, police have arrested 10 people, issued 13 notices to appear and 52 infringement notices for traffic offences.
