AN ALICE Springs brewery has been left with significant damages after offenders broke in to steal $80 worth of alcohol.

Offenders stole alcohol from the fridge behind the bar at Alice Springs Brewing Co overnight after breaking in, leaving the brewery with shattered glass and no door.

Southern Watch Commander Alistair Gall said unlawful entry into the license premise occurred at about 3.30am through a gap in the door.

“The front doors were forced, damaged, and entry was gained,” he said.

Commander Gall said the break and enter would financially impact the business.

“It’s going to cost at least $400 to replace the door and maybe about 50 to 80 dollars worth of alcohol,” he said.

Commander Gall said the security alarms were activated while the offenders were in the store.

“They grabbed the alcohol when the alarms went off, and then they fled the location,” he said.

“Security attended and then we subsequently attended.”

CCTV footage will be reviewed to identify the offenders.

Alice Springs Brewing Co said they will continue to operate as normal and have arranged for the door to be bordered up until the door is replaced.
