TERRITORY pharmacies and medical organisations are preparing for the mammoth COVID-19 vaccination rollout.
At least five pharmacies across the NT will be able to administer the vaccine, including the Hibiscus Day and Night Pharmacy in Leanyer.
More Territory pharmacies are expected to get on board with administering the vaccine once additional information is known about the rollout.

Hibiscus Day and Night Pharmacy owner Marcus Leong said expressions of interest to provide the vaccine recently opened and he intended to supply it at his northern suburbs shop.
“This is part of the professional service we always want to roll out,” Mr Leong said.
“We’re also doing a lot of work with aged care and people have a lot of questions about the vaccine and we have the capacity to deliver it and we are happy to assist.”
Mr Leong said they were in the process of setting up a consulting room where the vaccine would be given.

Danila Dilba Health Service clinical governance head Andrew Webster said they were preparing to offer the jab to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the Darwin region.
Dr Webster estimates they will be delivering the vaccine to between 15,000 to 20,000 people.
Pharmaceutical Society of Australia NT/SA vice president Sam Keitaanpaa said throughout COVID, NT pharmacists had stepped up to help protect and support Territorians.
“It’s great to know they will have the chance to do this again as part of the vaccine roll-out,” he said.
