Coronavirus-free streak over within 24 hours as NT records its 100th case of COVID-19

The Northern Territory records 100th case of COVID-19

THE NT is no longer coronavirus free after another repatriated Australian tested positive less than 24 hours after the last active case recovered.

The 59-year-old woman arrived on a flight from New Delhi on January 19 and has since returned a positive test, despite being asymptomatic.

She is now in the care of the AUSMAT team at the NT Centre for National Resilience.

Since repatriation flights to the NT began on October 23, 3397 international arrivals have undertaken quarantine at the Howard Springs Centre with another flight landing today.

A total of 62 positive COVID-19 cases have now been reported from international repatriation and the total number of cases diagnosed in the NT is 100.

All cases have been related to international or interstate travel, with no cases of community transmission.
