The trio acknowledged the issue was “bigger than politics” and said they were working together to tackle the “critical issue of escalating crime” in Alice Springs.
Mr Burgoyne urged Mr Gunner to spend time in Alice Springs and speak with residents and business affected by crime.
“A fleeting visit is not going to expose this Chief Minister to a fraction of the issues our town is facing daily,” he said.
“We don’t need another carefully stage-managed media opportunity without any real action. “Ditch the cameras and media spin and meet with the public.” Mr Yan said it was“incredibly disappointing” Mr Gunner had not reached out to any of the town’s representatives prior to his visit.
Ms Lambley said it was important for the three elected members in Alice Springs to work together on the issue of crime.
