A MAN who recently went to Victoria has been arrested at a border control point for allegedly lying to police about his travels.
About midday on Friday, August 28 police found the 56-year-old man at the Queensland and Northern Territory border.

He allegedly provided false and misleading information to police about his travels which included being Victoria in recent days.
He was arrested and taken to Tennant Creek Hospital to receive a COVID-19 test, and returned a negative result. He was then taken to Alice Springs and charged with supply false unattended declaration.

The man was bailed to appear in Alice Springs Local Court on Wednesday, September 9.
He will remain in mandatory hotel quarantine until his court appearance.
