A WOMAN has tragically drowned at Dundee Beach, with St John’s Ambulance Territory Duty Manager Craig Garraway confirming paramedics received an emergency call about 3pm yesterday.
“We did have a triple-0 report about 3pm yesterday of an incident at Dundee — unfortunately I believe a patient there has passed away as a result of drowning,” he said.
“A patient appeared to have drowned we did give advice over the phone there and co-ordinated with CareFlight and the health clinic out at Belyuen there.”
A NT Police spokeswoman said “police are investigating the death of a woman at Dundee Beach”.
The NT News understands police will be able to provide a further update Wednesday afternoon.
