THE Australian Labor Party NT Branch has received more than $70,000 from betting agencies and property groups in the lead up to the 2020 Territory election and Johnston by-election.
According to financial disclosure documents released on the NT Electoral Commission’s website, BetEasy, Betfair, Responsible Wagering Australia and Tabcorp were among the donors to the Labor Party.
The donation reveals come just months after Chief Minister Michael Gunner refused to disclose who attended a secret $5000-a-head Labor fundraiser, despite insisting he had nothing to hide.
The Labor Party also received donations from the Australian Hotels Association Victorian branch local property groups.
