DOM’S Bar and Lounge in Nightcliff is expanding following approval by the Liquor Commission.

The bar, on Aralia Street, opened 15 months ago, and despite the impacts of COVID-19 on business operations the venue has grown. Now it is set to double its indoor space, providing airconditioned seating for up to 70 patrons.

Owner Dominic Wundke said he was excited to see the small bar get a little bit bigger.

“I just feel privileged to be able to expand and we need to expand as we are running out of room to accommodate everyone,” he said.

Renovations are expected to be completed by the beginning of the Dry.

Mr Wundke said the bar would remain open during the renovations.

The bar will also revamp its wine list and menu.

Mr Wundke said the menu would allow for large groups and have a fresh European influence.

He said they were preparing for a huge dry season as tourists and locals alike made up for a lacklustre 2020.
