FIVE families in forced quarantine at the luxury One30 Esplanade building have been moved to “a more suitable location” according to a letter to property owners and residents.
On Monday it was revealed five rooms at the exclusive address, owned by the Halikos Group, were booked to assist in forced quarantining without the knowledge or consent of building owners, managers or residents.
In a letter sent last Saturday, property manager North Property NT said it was notified by the Halikos Group the families would be removed to an undisclosed location.

“Unfortunately we have not been provided with the details around there departure date and time,” the letter read.
“We would also request all members, property managers and residents respect the privacy of these five families over this period as this is obviously a stressful ordeal for them as well as the members of the 130 Esplanade body corporate.”
Chief Minister Michael Gunner confirmed the families had been moved to a “traditional” hotel.

“When I learned that they were in a mixed property, I thought that wasn’t the best fit,” he said.
“I think it became clear as residents complained it wasn’t the best fit, so even though we had all of those health measures and security measures in place I thought let’s move them into a traiditonal hotel.”
