Flooding kills at least 100 as Cyclone Seroja set to strengthen, track south along WA coast
More than 100 people have been killed and thousands of homes destroyed in flash floods and landslides triggered by Tropical Cylone Seroja which is expected to strengthen as it tracks south.

MORE than 100 people have been killed and thousands of homes have been destroyed in flash floods and landslides in Indonesia and Timor-Leste triggered by Tropical Cylcone Seroja.
The tropical cyclone formed near Timor on Sunday night as a Category 1.
The Bureau of Meteorology says the cyclone is forecast to move southwest and could strengthen into a Category 3 system by Thursday morning.

Cyclone Seroja was producing winds of up to 100km/h on Monday and is expected to gain strength as it tracks down by the WA coast later this week.

It is expected to remain offshore until Wednesday, but after that it could hit the Pilbara region, a Bureau of Meteorology cyclone expert said.
