A fire weather warning and fire ban has been issues for Darwin, Batchelor and Adelaide River emergency response areas, and the Lichfield Municipality and Coomalie Shire.

Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist Rebecca Patrick said the warnings and bans were due to dry and windy conditions across the Top End.

“The good news is the high that’s causing windy conditions is starting to move away,” she said.

“So those winds will be easing off after today.”
