CHIEF health officer Hugh Heggie has listed a number of areas of Queensland as well as the Perth and Peel districts in Western Australia as new Covid-19 hot spots.
In Queensland, the local government areas of Brisbane, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Logan, Moreton Bay, Noosa, Redland, Scenic Rim, Somerset, Sunshine Coast, Palm Island and Townsville are hot spots as of 5.30pm on Tuesday.

The hot spots in WA apply from 11am on Tuesday.
Anyone travelling to the NT from a Covid-19 hot spot and who arrives after the declaration must undertake 14 days of mandatory, supervised quarantine at the Alice Springs or Howard Springs quarantine facilities.
Dr Heggie has also put into place a number of testing and quarantine directions for people who have visited specified exposure sites in Queensland and WA.
