Charges laid over Mitchell St crash, alleged violent conduct

NT Police have charged three men aged 25, 32, and 38 following an incident on Mitchell St around 3am Sunday December 6.
The three men were allegedly involved in an altercation before the 38-year-old left the area.
The man then returned in his vehicle and allegedly rammed into a business, where the 25 and 32-year-old were present.
The car hit the 25-year-old, causing minor injuries.
The driver was arrested after being transported to Royal Darwin Hospital. The other two men were arrested on the scene.

The 38-year-old alleged driver was remanded in custody and will appear this morning in Darwin Local Court on the following charges:
● 3 x recklessly endanger life
● 1 x recklessly endanger serious harm
● 1 x dangerous driving
● 1 x acts intended to cause serious harm
● 1 x drive high range
● 1 x criminal damage
The 25-year-old has been summonsed for:
● 1 x engage in violent conduct
● 1 x affray
● 1 x fight in a public place
The 32-year-old has been summonsed for:
● 2 x engage in violent conduct
● 1 x affray
● 1 x fighting in a public place

Detective Acting Superintendent Mark Malogorski said police were calling for witnesses to contact 131 444.
“It is very lucky that more patrons were not seriously injured. We urge all members of the community to be responsible with alcohol consumption this festive season.”
