HELPING People Achieve continues to break ground and its latest business venture literally achieves it.

HPA’s latest enterprise is a commercial grounds maintenance business and chief executive Tony Burns says it has been a source of inspiration.

“We are, what we like to say, ‘for purpose’ — we always focus on possibilities, not on disabilities, and the possibilities are expanding,” Mr Burns said.

“One of HPA’s purposes is to create training and employment opportunities for supported employees in the NT community.

“We recently expanded our services with the Breaking Ground Gardening Team to provide gardening services across Darwin, Palmerston and the rural area.

“It’s a commercial grounds maintenance business that delivers high quality lawn maintenance and knowledgeable horticultural care.

“We support this service with specialised equipment, including state-of-the-art ride-on mowers, edgers, blowers, a custom-built trailer and utility vehicles.

“We take care of all commercial property needs, including: lawns, plant management, and litter control, fertilising and weed management.”

HPA has a record of success in providing pathways, outcomes and opportunity for the disability sector, which benefit individuals and the wider Territorian community.

“We constantly strive towards increased self-sufficiency, through our increasing number of successful business enterprises to increase HPA’s levels of viability and financial sustainability,” Mr Burns said.
