THERE is no medical justification for the continued closure of state borders.

This is not the NT News saying this.

It is Australia’s deputy chief medical officer, Paul Kelly, who has made it clear that, from a medical point of view, he can’t see why the borders are still closed.

As we said on Wednesday, Chief Minister Michael Gunner and other leaders have performed well in handling the coronavirus pandemic.

But will they be the architects of an economic catastrophe because they are being too cautious and too wedded to their rhetoric?

But don’t ruin any hope of some form of economic survival by being last cab off the rank to re-open.

It will be a domestic free-for-all and we may well be massively outgunned.
