THE Royal Australian Air Force’s top jet aircraft hardware will roar through the night from Monday as part of a key element of exercise Arnhem Thunder.

The jets will take off from 7pm with all aircraft expected to return to RAAF Base Darwin by 10.30pm.

But a RAAF spokesman moved to reassure Top Enders that noise reduction and the environment were vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military flying so as not to unduly disturb residents’ evenings.
