One lucky Territorian has scored the greatest Christmas gift in a miracle jackpot win.
More than $1m was claimed on a Keno ticket at Bell Bar in Bellamack over the weekend.
It marked the third time a Territorian has become a millionaire through the 10-Spot Jackpot in almost as many months.
The $1,117,563 win took place about 7.30pm on Saturday at the popular Palmerston bar.
The Bell’s assistant venue manager Karen Lewis said it was “very exciting” for everyone in the venue.
“There were tears, screaming – it was major excitement,” she said.
“The woman who won is a local and she picked the numbers herself.
“She celebrated with her friends and her husband who were here with her.”
The winning numbers were 04, 25, 78, 01, 69, 49, 11, 10, 24 and 44 on Game 422, with the player purchasing a $24 NT Keno ticket.
In late October, a $10 ticket turned into more than $1.5m for a fortunate punter at the Beachfront Hotel in Rapid Creek.
Mindil Beach Casino Resort holds the biggest Keno claim to fame this year though with a $2.4m win in late August.
“We are ecstatic to have brought some festive magic to a Territorian and their family this weekend,” an NT Keno spokeswoman said.
“With Christmas just a week away, it’s fair to say the holiday season will have a little extra sparkle for the lucky winner this year!”
