A youth gang in a convoy of stolen cars have run riot across the Gold Coast, burgling homes and stealing fuel from a service station.

They can be seen in the footage getting out of a Subaru and a Mazda before trying the doors on two vehicles parked in the street.

Three of the offenders are wearing what appear to be black hoodies and attempt to cover their faces as they approach several homes.

One of the teens jumps the fence to a property before re-emerging a short time later empty-handed.

Police sources have confirmed the vehicles the teens were travelling in have been reported stolen.

It’s believed the same group are responsible for a burglary about an hour later on nearby Anchorage Way.

Offenders gained entry to a home through a rear door and took two sets of car keys, stealing a white BMW X5 (QLD 693IV9) and white Subaru Liberty (QLD QMY90).

Police are also investigating links with fuel thefts at the Ampol service station at Runaway Bay overnight.

In that incident, four stolen cars arrived at the business with what are believed to be juveniles on board.

The teens fuel up the vehicles before driving off without paying.

Police have obtained CCTV of the thefts as part of their investigation.

The Queensland Police Service has been contacted for comment.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or you can report online.
