A car has gone up in flames outside an Ormeau home in the second suspicious blaze at the same property within a month.
Emergency services were called to the address on Ormeau’s Vaughan Drive just after 2am on Tuesday.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said two crews responded to reports of a vehicle on fire close to a home.
When they arrived firefighters found the Volkswagen Amarok Ute fully engulfed.
The blaze was extinguished at about 3.10am.
It is understood to be the same address where a Mercedes Benz was destroyed by a suspicious fire about 4.25am on July 23.
It’s understood the tenants at the property are known to police and both incidents are being investigated as targeted arson.
Officers remained at the scene around 8am speaking with the occupants and doorknocking neighbouring homes.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
