A crime scene has been declared after a Mercedes-Benz was destroyed in an early morning fire on the northern Gold Coast.

A crime scene has been declared after a Mercedes-Benz was destroyed in an early morning fire on the northern Gold Coast.

Emergency services were called to a suspicious car fire on Vaughan Drive in Ormeau at 4.25am on Tuesday.

A Queensland Fire Department (QFD) spokeswoman said three crews rushed to the scene where a Mercedes-Benz was engulfed in flames.

The spokeswoman said the fire started to spread to the home and a second car, a VW Amarok.

Firefighters were able to control the fire and it was out by 4.30am.

A Gold Coast police spokeswoman said there was no structural damage to the house and no one was injured in the fire.

Fireys and police left the scene at 5.30am.

Police have declared the area a crime scene while they investigate the cause of the blaze.

Detectives are urging anyone who has any information about the fire, CCTV or dashcam of the area to contact police.
