Police are hunting for a man who allegedly kicked a woman several times after she confronted him while he was going through her car.

The 44-year-old woman reported the incident occurred on July 8 in a Hill St carpark in Southport around 11.30am.

A Gold Coast police statement said the woman found a man “searching” through her car before she approached him.

The woman said she was then kicked “a number of times” before he fled the scene.

The man was seen riding on an electric scooter along Olympic Circuit.

He was described as caucasian, around 175cm tall, a slim build and was wearing a black hoodie, navy pants, a tan cap and a black backpack.

Detectives are calling for the man or anyone with further information to contact police.
