How speeding car led to arrest of five

June 19: Police were alerted a BMW was stolen when they spotted it speeding down the Pacific Motorway just after midnight on Saturday morning.

The speeding wagon sparked a police operation which led to five people being arrested and a second stole car found.

Gold Coast Police Acting Chief Superintendent Rhys Wildman said today the car had been stolen from New South Wales but was spotted speeding by police.
