A man has been rushed to hospital after an alleged assault in Surfers Paradise.

Emergency services were called to a residence on Paradise Island around 10.40pm on Tuesday after an alleged assault.

A Gold Coast police spokeswoman said officers were called after reports of a fight at a party.

It’s understood the people who were involved in the altercation were known to each other.

Paramedics assessed a man in his 50s and took him to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with head and facial injuries.

The police spokeswoman said no formal complaint had been made by 7am on Wednesday.

It marks the third alleged assault in Surfers Paradise within the past two weeks.

Around 1am on Saturday police were called after an alleged violent confrontation on Ferny Ave.

A 22-year-old man was allegedly confronted by a group of three people who have since been charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm while in company.

On October 8, police charged two teens after another alleged stabbing on Remembrance Drive around 6.15am three days beforehand.

Two 20-year-old Toowoomba men were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital, where one remains in a serious but stable condition.

The incidents are all unrelated to each other.
