Geelong’s high achievers are being celebrated after conquering their last years of schooling.
Thousands of excited students received their VCE results, including more than 21,000 Victorian students whose hard work paid off, landing them study scores of 40 or above.
This included 629 students, or 0.3 per cent of the cohort, who received perfect study scores of 50.

The Geelong schools with the highest amount of scores 40 or higher were independent schools Kardinia International College (109) and The Geelong College (107).
Kardinia students excelled in subjects including applied computing: software development, Australian history, biology, business management, chemistry, dance, engineering studies, English, English as an additional language, environmental science, further mathematics, Japanese second language, legal studies, literature, mathematical methods, media, music performance, physical education, physics, psychology, specialist mathematics, studio arts, systems engineering, and visual communication design.
Geelong College students excelled in accounting, biology, chemistry, English, English as an additional language, environmental science, further mathematics, geography, literature, mathematical methods, music performance, physical education, physics, product design and technology, psychology, studio arts, and theatre studies.
Sacred Heart College (65), Geelong Grammar (64), St Joseph’s College (53), and Saint Ignatius College (44) also had high numbers of scores 40 and above.
