It has taken Melbourne and the world by storm, and now a Karen’s Diner pop-up is bound for Geelong. Here’s when it will open.

Pop up diner Karen’s delights in its rude staff

A dining experience revolving around rude service is slated for Geelong.

Karen’s Diner, where guests are treated to burgers with a side of sass, is slated to open in Geelong “soon”, according to its website.

The phenomenon has sites across Australia and also in the UK.

According to its websites, in addition to Geelong, it is set to open across new cities globally including New York and Los Angeles.

It’s understood the Geelong site would initially be a pop-up, but if it generates a large amount of interest could become longer term.

It’s expected the Geelong site will open around September.

The website for the 1950s-style diner boasts of “great burgers and very rude service”.

It says the “interactive” diner is an absurdly fun experience.

“You will be greeted and waited upon by rude waiters who in return are expecting you to give it full Karen,” it said.

“A place where you can complain until the cows come home because we literally don’t care.”

People can sign up for early bird tickets and updates about bookings online.
