A Geelong woman has been accused of allegedly inappropriately touching an underage girl, a court has heard.

Lisa Gould, of no fixed address, appeared at the Geelong Magistrates’ Court on Monday and pleaded guilty to charges of possessing cannabis, criminal damage and breaching court orders.

The court also heard Gould is intending to contest sexual assault charges from an incident involving an underage girl.

It was alleged Gould touched the minor over her clothing.

“She said it did not happen and is prepared to give evidence to that effect,” Ms Gould’s defence lawyer, Hollie Lyons, said.

“She’s really willing to go all the way to clear her name.”

Gould was remanded almost three months ago but said she was unwilling to apply for bail until the matter was cleared.

Gould pleaded guilty to separate charges on Monday, including hitting a woman’s car while standing in the middle of the road.

In July last year, the woman was forced to stop her car when she saw Gould walk into the middle of the lane to pick up a stick.

Gould hit the woman’s bonnet and two left doors, causing $300 worth of damage to the car.

She also faced court for an incident stemming from a dispute with a man in August last year on a Norlane street.

Police arrived and found her “incoherent and uncooperative” nearby and located a bag of green vegetable matter on her.

Ms Lyons said her client has a “variety of mental health issues” and continues to struggle with alcohol and drug dependency.

“She’s someone who comes from a really complex background,” Ms Lyons added.

Magistrate Franz Holzer found Gould is at a “high risk of reoffending” due to her failure to comply with community corrections orders.

He was also concerned about her substance abuse issues.

“She wants to get off this s**t – her words, not mine – and she’s got to do something about it. So at the end of the day, how does she get off this s**t?” Mr Holzer said.

“These are things you’re going to have to manage somehow when you’re released because that’s going to happen at some point.”

Gould was fined $300 for the cannabis and sentenced to a “short, sharp sentence” of seven days imprisonment for the criminal damage and the breach of court orders.

She will return next month to contest the sexual assault allegations.
