Frankie Bar and Eatery voted the top restaurant in Geelong

Following the Addy’s ranking of Geelong’s best restaurants, readers have cast their votes and crowned their number one.

For the second year in a row Frankie Bar and Eatery has been named the best of the best by Geelong Advertiser readers.

Following the release of the top 100 restaurants in the region by this masthead, readers were able to chose whether the eatery was overrated, underrated or if they agreed with its rank in the list.

The votes are in and Frankie progressed to the number one spot, followed by Gogi Korean BBQ Buffet in second and Pholklore in third.

Frankie, located on Malop St, is a cocktail and wine bar, function venue and Pan-Asian fusion restaurant.

Owner Ross Blackam said it was an honour to be ranked number one by readers and a testament to hard work of the entire team.

“We are humbled by the recognition and win, especially two years in a row, and it will motivate us to continue to deliver a first-class dining and hospitality experience,” he said.

Mr Blackam said it was a privilege to be part of Geelong’s hospitality scene.

“There’s a sense of camaraderie among local businesses,” he said.

“Our industry is all about connection and it gives us great joy to play a small part in providing memorable experiences and sharing in important celebrations.”
