Daymon Ness disappearance follows similar case at Nitmiluk two years ago

THE hunt for missing person Daymon Ness at Nitmiluk National Park follows a similar case two years ago when a walker vanished in the same area.

THE hunt for missing person Daymon Ness at Nitmiluk National Park follows a similar case in the same area two years ago.

Queensland man Alex Rosenberg vanished at Edith Falls in Nitmiluk on August 19, 2018.

Mr Rosenberg, who was 67 at the time, was last seen at around 10.30am that day returning to the Edith Falls camping ground from the direction of Sweetwater Pool.

NT Police say he completed a walk on the Leliyn Track, Edith Falls Loop Track, to the top rock pools of Edith Falls on Saturday, August 18.

Despite an extensive land and underwater search police were unable to find a trace of Mr Rosenberg.

Mr Rosenberg is described as just under six-foot tall with fair complexion, grey hair, and of lean to medium build.

It is believed he may have been wearing a khaki shirt, black/khaki hat, black shorts, and Salomon hiking boots.

He also had a small black or blue day pack or Camelbak and a walking pole.

It is believed he had a Samsung Edge mobile phone and a Samsung Galaxy Tablet in his possession.

Mr Rosenberg was travelling in a caravan which was located at Edith Falls with personal belongings still inside.
