Darwin Waterfront has joined forces with Darwin Festival to deliver a huge month of festivities, with a silent disco, live entertainment and more locked in for the area.

Darwin Waterfront will be pulling its weight in helping the Darwin Festival take off next month, with eight days of family friendly entertainment set to take over the area.
On Friday, Darwin Festival announced several vibrant, high-energy activities would be held at the Darwin Waterfront on August 9, 10, and 11, with dancing zebras performed by Born in a Taxi roaming the area.
The excitement continues on August 13 to 15, with DJ Guru Dudu throwing a walking silent disco which will snake around the Wave Lagoon, Sea Wall and past restaurants.
Finally, festival goers have been encouraged to keep their calendars open on August 17 and 18, as puppet theatre company Snuff Puppets bring their giant seagulls to Stokes Hill Wharf.
Artistic director Kate Fell said the Darwin Festival was thrilled to provide free festival activities at the Waterfront.
“Darwin Festival brings the city to life – and we’re so excited to add another element to our festival at the gorgeous Darwin Waterfront that kids big and small can enjoy – especially when it is free,” she said.
“This new event adds to a packed program for families to enjoy magical moments in August in Darwin.”
Darwin Waterfront chair Richard Fejo said he was proud to support one of the Territory’s biggest events.
“We love Darwin Festival and we’re looking forward to welcoming a variety of world-class performers to the Darwin Waterfront in August.”
