Excited about the opportunities the championships will hold, Darwin Basketball Association’s executive officer Kerri Savidge is not only optimistic about the experience for our junior player’s but also the exposure to the rest of the basketball community.

“These championships are not only a great opportunity for the athletes, they are also a great ‘eye opener’ for our Darwin players to compete against other interstate clubs and let them experience a tournament,” Savidge said.

“For some it is their first representative opportunity in sport and they learn so much from these experiences.”

Having trained for the past eight months in preparation for the event, the Cyclones will be two of the 48 teams ripping up the courts over the next week.
