A parent, who didn’t want to be named, said on Thursday she wasn’t worried about safety at Darwin High School and was happy with how the situation had been dealt with.

Her three children had all attended – or were attending – the Top End school with no issues.

“Like anything it happens and it’s more about how the school deals with it and the principal has sent an email to parents and it’s being dealt with,” she said.

“Parents have to take responsibility for their children.”
