A REMORSELESS armed robber with a personality disorder assaulted a former Sinsations stripper turned drug mule in the women’s section of Holtze Prison, a court has heard.

Sofi-Lynn Talbot on Wednesday pleaded guilty to an aggravated assault on former Sinsations stripper Holly Attard, and a separate assault on a prison guard.

Talbot’s barrister John Adams said: “She’s not insane or anything like that, she just has behaviour issues”.

Talbot, who served stints in Don Dale before she turned 18, was in 2018 sentenced to two years and nine months jail, suspended after 17 months served, having taken part in two home invasions.

Chief Justice Michael Grant at the time said he was not satisfied Talbot had shown “genuine remorse” for her conduct.

Attard has been behind bars since January this year when she was arrested over her role as a mule for a methamphetamine syndicate, and the courts have previously heard some of her fellow inmates looked down on her after she agreed to give evidence against those higher up in the syndicate.

In March, she was sentenced to three years and four months in jail, to be suspended after a year served.

Attard at the time had only ever been in trouble for stealing a pair of latex pants from Sexyland.

Mr Adams said there was a “history” between the two inmates.

Prosecutor Ian Rowbottam said he did not accept Talbot’s account — put through Mr Adams — that Attard had told the armed robber to “go neck herself”.

Mr Rowbottam said: “This woman is not mentally ill but consistently … resorts to violence when she does not get her way”.

He said Talbot was living “what I would describe as a gangster life, a life of violence”.

In a victim impact statement, Attard said she had “no idea” why Talbot would attack her.

Attard said Talbot had previously bullied and threatened her.

“This woman will react to anything the deems a slight to her, as something she deems disrespectful towards her,” Mr Rowbottam said.

Mr Rowbottam’s assessment of Talbot prompted an outburst from her in the dock, in which she accused Attard of being a liar.

Talbot returns to court in August.
