A 30-YEAR-OLD man will face court today in relation to an alleged attempted hit-and-run and aggravated assault against a woman.
Police said they were called to a house in Tennant Creek on Wednesday, May 8 at 11pm because of reports of a disturbance.

They said when they arrived they found an injured woman, however the alleged offender had fled the scene in his car.
Later that night police spotted the man’s car and attempted to stop it but they said he
didn’t stop and police chased him.

He was arrested a short time later and charged with a number of offences including aggravated assault, recklessly endangering life, contravening a domestic violence order, drive high range blood alcohol content, drive unlicensed and breach of bail.
The man also had his car seized under anti-hooning legislation.
He was remanded in custody to appear before the Alice Springs Local Court today.
