POLICE are investigating after an allegedly stolen truck was captured on security camera footage crashing and rolling on Brown Street in Alice Springs.
The incident followed an alleged break-in at a Priest Street business during which three vehicles were damaged and, investigators believe, the small truck was stolen and later crashed.
Police responded to reports of the truck rollover at about 2.30am on Tuesday.
On arrival they located the truck, which was lying on its side in the middle of the road, but there were no occupants inside.
Dramatic video footage of the incident appears to show two people getting out of the truck then fleeing the scene.

It is now alleged that unknown offenders broke into the truck yard around 2am and rummaged through four vehicles before attempting to reverse a prime mover, which struck and damaged two other vehicles parked at the address.
The offenders then drove the truck from the yard before crashing it on Brown Street and fleeing the scene. The truck was extensively damaged in the crash.
