The court heard Puller started using drugs recreationally two years ago “because he was bored and lonely in Tennant Creek”.
“He first used cannabis but this evolved into the use of methamphetamine and other drugs. He then began to supply dangerous drugs,” Justice Stephen Southwood said during sentencing.
The court heard Puller came into possession of 20 tabs of Lysergic Acid (also commonly referred to as LSD) on August 7 2020 before he then sold 13 tabs.
It is believed he transported the drug from Alice Springs to Tennant Creek before he sourced buyers in town.
The court heard Puller had a good work ethic and returned to being a productive member of society after completing residential rehabilitation course.
Puller was sentenced to 20 months prison which was suspended on the condition that Puller leave the Northern Territory for 16 months.
