IT was a rough return home to the Territory for some residents who had their cars broken into in Tennant Creek.

Staying at the local caravan park, travellers on Tuesday woke to smashed windows on at least three cars.

Superintendent Kylie Anderson of the Tennant Creek Police said police were working with community contacts and intelligence to identify offenders responsible for a spate of criminal damage incidents across the town over previous weeks.
