A CORONIAL inquest into the death of three people who died in a car crash in 2019 will be held in Alice Springs later this year.
A 32-year-old woman, a 27-year-old man and a 35-year-old man died on Christmas Day in the Alice Springs suburb of Sadadeen, while two others were injured.
According to police, the driver attempted to evade a police traffic stop, drove away at speed, crashed into another car and then hit a tree.
The deaths were being investigated as deaths in custody.
Territory coroner Greg Cavanagh will lead the three day hearing in Alice Springs Local Court from December 7-9.
