A 44-year-old man has been charged following the death of another man in Alice Springs on Friday evening.

Northern Territory Police have charged a 44-year-old male with murder following the death of a man in Alice Springs on Friday evening.
Shortly before midnight, police responded to a report of a serious assault at an address on Gap Road.
A 48-year-old man with serious injuries passed away at the scene.
The 44-year-old male was arrested and conveyed to Alice Springs Watch House.
He has been charged with murder.

Police bail has been refused.
Police are calling for witnesses and anyone with information to report on 131 444 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
