Stories to save Indigenous lives

A short film featuring the stories of five Indigenous breast cancer survivors from Central Australia is helping to dispel the commonly held myth that breast cancer is a guaranteed death sentence for Indigenous women.

Lucky charm rings true

A SET for Life division two prize landed in Alice Springs on Friday night, with a local man taking home a total prize pool of $60,000 or $5,000 a month for a year.

They’re doing a bloody good job

Though theirs may not be the first profession that springs to mind when considering the essential workers who have supported Central Australia through the coronavirus pandemic, the team at the Alice Springs Pathology Department have played a critical role in protecting the health and safety of all Territorians.

Let them drink beer (from midday)

There was an almost audible sigh of relief from business owners and punters across Central Australia today as pubs, restaurants and cafes opened at midday as part of the Northern Territory’s three stage ‘Roadmap to the new normal.’
