A RAINY weekend for Central Australia saw temperatures plummet almost 20C below average to 13.5C at the weekend at the lowest, in what was an unusually cold couple of days.
The autumn-like blast was a welcome reprieve from hot and humid conditions felt last week.
The Bureau of Meteorology said the cooler weather was due to a cloud band combined with cool southerly winds.
